Nyaho Medical Centre celebrated 40 years of existence in the year 2010, since its founder and visionary, the late Dr. Kwami Nyaho Tamaklo, first implemented the idea.
Nyaho Medical Centre was established as Nyaho Clinic and was the first private group medical practice at the time, bringing together doctors of many different specialties under one roof.
In celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2010, Nyaho Medical Centre organized many activities, including a health walk, a golf tournament, a cocktail for its clients and a health screening exercise at the Teiman Traditional Area.
Over the years, Nyaho Medical Centre has participated in the annual US Embassy Health Fair and The Ghana Health Service Health Fair (at the Trade Fair Centre), and the Centre is always looking for new opportunities to reach out to its local community.
Nyaho Medical Centre strives to make regular upgrades to its medical facility in line with its mission of ‘giving the best in medicine and nursing care’. In September 2010, Nyaho Medical Centre invited the Deputy Minister of Health, the Honourable Rojo Mettle-Nunoo to be a guest speaker at the commissioning of its recently acquired CT Scan and Digital X-ray.
These latest additions will enhance the wide-ranging services that the Centre offers. Some of these services are: ECG, laboratory, ultrasound, pharmacy, ambulance, and special clinics such as dental, physiotherapy, prostate, family planning, child welfare, voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) for HIV and a full-service travel clinic. This is in addition to general services such as obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, dermatology, pediatrics, ear, nose and throat (ENT), cardiology, and occupational health.
