Nyaho Dove Foundation is Strategic Partner for 2nd Women’s Health Symposium organised Africa Health Business (AHB).

Nyaho Dove Foundation the corporate social responsibility arm of Nyaho Medical Centre has strategically partnered the Africa Health Business (AHB) for the 2nd Africa Women’s Health Symposium.

The Nyaho Dove Foundation registered in 2020, operates under four strategic pillars to:

  1. Access to Care: To deliver quality healthcare to vulnerable and underserved communities in Ghana. Bridging the quality divide within the healthcare system Community health campaign.
  1. Postgraduate Training: To develop the future specialists in healthcare. Family Medicine (Full Accreditation by Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons).
  1. Thought Leadership: To create awareness and support policies that encourage public-private partnerships in healthcare).
  1. Research & Development: To help healthcare organisations meet the IHI triple aims of improving the health of populations, improving the experience of patients and reducing the per-capita costs of healthcare.
 

This collaboration aligns with the Thought Leadership initiative of the Dove Foundation, which has previously orchestrated five symposiums in Ghana aimed at catalyzing public discourse on health and shaping healthcare policies.

In 2022, AHB hosted the AHB Symposium on African women’s health, centered around the theme “The role of the private sector in advancing women’s health in Africa.” This landmark event had a significant impact, giving rise to the Coalition for Women’s Health in Africa (COWHA), which has since been instrumental in enhancing the health and well-being of African women.

The upcoming second edition of the symposium, themed “A New Dawn of Partnerships for Women’s Health,” is scheduled for May 23, 2024, in Accra, Ghana. This symposium aims to advocate for, take action on, and foster partnerships for women’s health across the continent.

It will be an engaging gathering, bringing together distinguished health experts, business leaders, development partners, and government representatives to forge actionable partnerships for advancing women’s health in Africa.
